Data Quality Campaign Announces Winners of Annual Leadership Award: Superintendent Peter Gorman, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Receives DQC 2009 Leadership Award

Peter Gorman, the superintendent of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, is the 2009 District Data Leader of the Year. Gorman was honored today by the Data Quality Campaign (DQC) during the DQC’s Annual Meeting & Progress Report. The DQC, a national partnership to improve the quality, accessibility and use of data in education, recognized Gorman and winners in two other categories for their critical leadership roles in changing the culture around data use for continuous improvement. The DQC also released the results of its first survey of all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico on progress toward implementing the DQC 10 State Actions to Ensure Effective Data Use.
