Punya
Mishra is a professor of educational technology and director of the
Master of Arts in Educational Technology program. He is nationally and
internationally recognized for his work on the theoretical, cognitive
and social aspects related to the design and use of computer-based
learning environments. He has worked extensively in the area of
technology integration in teacher education which led to the development
(in collaboration with M. J. Koehler) of the Technological Pedagogical
Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework, which has been described as “the
most significant advancement in the area of technology integration in
the past 25 years.” He has received over $4 million in grants, published
over 45 articles and book chapters and edited two books. Dr. Mishra is
an award-winning instructor who teaches courses at both the masters and
doctoral levels in the areas of educational technology, design and
creativity. He is a gifted, creative and engaging public speaker, having
made multiple keynote and invited presentations for associations and
conferences nationally and internationally. He is also an accomplished
visual artist and poet.

LORD DAVID PUTTNAM

David
is the present Chancellor of the Open University, following ten years
as Chancellor of The University of Sunderland. He is President
of the Film Distributors’ Association, Chairman of North Music Trust
(The Sage Gateshead), Deputy Chairman of Profero and a trustee of the
Eden Project. Most recently he has set up Atticus Education, an online
venture, in partnership with BT Ireland, which will deliver interactive
seminars and masterclasses using state-of-the art video conferencing
technology
He
was Deputy Chairman of Channel 4 Television from 2006 until January
2012. He was founding Chair of the National Endowment for Science,
Technology and the Arts (NESTA) and for ten years chaired the National
Museum of Photography, Film and Television. He has also served as a
trustee of the Tate Gallery, the Science Museum and many other
organsiations.
David
was awarded a CBE in 1982, a knighthood in 1995 and was appointed to
the House of Lords in 1997. In France he was made a Chevalier of the
Order of Arts and Letters in 1985, becoming an Officer in 1992, and a
Commander in 2006. He has been the recipient of more than 40 honorary
degrees from Universities in the UK and overseas.

CHERYL LEMKE

Cheryl Lemke is President and CEO of the Metiri Group. Ms. Lemke specializes in K20 educational technology and 21st Century Learning. She is well known for her expertise and experience in systems thinking, from the policy level – with governors, legislators, superintendents, business leaders – to the school and classroom – with administrators, teachers, students, and parent. She brings over 25 years of experience in the public sector—as a teacher, technology director, policy expert at a national education laboratory, executive director at a foundation, and cabinet member at a state education agency. She was a key architect in several frameworks for educational technology and associated audit systems, including enGauge, Dimensions21, and Project 24. She is currently working with the state of Michigan to ensure district and school technology readiness for online assessments planned for 2014.
Ms. Lemke is considered a thought leader in the U.S. and internationally. She is routinely commissioned to develop policy briefs, research briefs, and white papers by private sector technology companies including Intel, Cisco, Apple, and Microsoft. She recently wrote a chapter in a book on 21st Century Learning with a major publisher, has written briefing papers for Intel on Digital Learning, Professional Development, and Assessment, and is providing strategic policy consulting to the province of Alberta, Canada. She also serves in as an evaluator for educational technology projects including Ohio’s statewide Blended Learning Project and new Center for Special Needs Students and Online Learning. She speaks nationally and internationally, most recently in Korea, Canada, Singapore, and China.

CURTIS BONK

Curt
is Professor of Instructional Systems Technology in the School of
Education at Indiana University. Curt is affiliated with the cognitive
sciences program and is adjunct in the School of Informatics at IU. He
founded SurveyShare, Inc. in 2003 which he sold in 2010. In addition, he
has been founder and president of CourseShare, LLC
since 1999. Before coming to IU in 1992, Curt taught at West Virginia
University for three years. In the early 1980s, he was a CPA and
corporate controller in Wisconsin, while in the late 80s, he obtained
his Master's and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Professor Bonk firmly believes in distance learning since he is a
product of it. Dr. Bonk has been filmed in Dallas for a STARLINK program
on blended learning, the Web 2.0, and best practices for teaching
online. Curt is a popular conference speaker with several books in the
area of emerging technologies for learning He is currently conducting
research in the field of Extreme Learning.

Dr. Ruben Puentedura is the Founder and President of Hippasus, a consulting firm based in Western Massachusetts, focusing on transformative applications of information technologies to education. He has implemented these approaches for over twenty-five years at a range of K-20 educational institutions, as well as health and arts organizations. He is the creator of the SAMR model for selecting, using, and evaluating technology in education, which currently guides the work of the Maine Learning Technology Initiative, as well as projects in Vermont and Sweden. His current work explores new directions in mobile computing, digital storytelling, learning analytics, and educational gaming, focusing on applications in areas where they have not been traditionally employed.

Dr. Chip Kimball is the superintendent of the Singapore American School, a progressive and high-achieving international school. He is a dedicated educator and strategic thought leader with a national and now international reputation for innovation, leadership, results-based strategies, and student achievement. Prior to his appointment at SAS, Dr. Kimball served as the superintendent of Lake Washington School District, a nationally-acclaimed school system in the United States that is recognized for its student performance, innovative programs, and as one of the top ten technology districts in the country. Dr. Kimball's leadership and passion for education has resulted in his service on a number of state and national projects on education and how to best serve students in the 21st century. He has served as Chief Education Strategist to the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, and currently serves as co-chair for the 21st Century Superintendent Initiative sponsored by the Consortium of School Networking. He joined SAS due to his commitment to ensuring that students are prepared for the global marketplace. Dr. Kimball resides in Singapore with his wife Cheryl, and has two adult children who reside in Washington state. |

MELISSA TEBBENKAMP

Melissa Tebbenkamp is in her seventh year as the Director of Instructional Technology for Raytown Quality Schools. She is a founding member and chair of the Missouri state chapter of CoSN, Missouri Educational Technology Leaders (METL), and has served on the CoSN Awards Committee. In addition to her leadership role within CoSN, Melissa has been influential in developing a Missouri technology professional learning community through the facilitation of a state-wide group of Education Technology Leaders. Melissa also works closely with the Missouri Research and Education Network (MOREnet) to build partnerships and opportunities for further development of technology resources in the state of Missouri. She serves as a member of the Aruba Networks International Advisory Board and was a member of the Multimedia Grade Wireless Working Group, a cross-industry group dedicated to defining requirements for wireless networks that are adapted for multimedia technologies. In addition, she has developed partnerships with many industry leaders including: Brocade, Xiotech, Aruba Networks, Fluke Networks, APC, Panasonic, VMware and Microsoft. Under her leadership, Raytown Quality Schools was among one of the first Districts nationwide to move to large-scale server virtualization and was published internationally for the progressive approach to server resource management.
Melissa was one of the first 50 to earn the status of a Certified Education Technology Leader. She holds a master’s degree in Educational Technology, with a concentration in networking and systems management. Additionally, she received a bachelor’s degree and certification in Elementary Education.
Melissa is married to Bryan, a professional photographer. They have 2 young children; Neil, 4 years, and Luke, 1 year old.

ANTON (TONY) INGLESE

Anton (Tony) Inglese, CETL, has held leadership positions in professional and volunteer pursuits, focusing on innovation, instructional technology and organizational strategy. He is currently the Chief Information Officer and Assistant Superintendent for Batavia Public School District 101, where his emphasis is on delivering improved educational outcomes for students.
Tony’s 17-year career with the district began as a sophomore at Batavia High School, where he provided network support for the student information system. Within the past five years as CIO, Tony has developed the district’s technology division from four employees supporting 1,000 devices to eighteen professionals in three departments providing support to nearly 5,000 devices. He also serves as District Treasurer and holds an Illinois Chief School Business Official’s certificate.
Having served on the Executive Board of Batavia Access Television, the Fermilab Citizen Advisory Board, and the Board of Directors for Illinois Chief Technology Officers, Tony has focused on innovation, partnership development and governance. He has used his expertise in finance and technology to advise private, government and civic agencies, and is a trusted resource within the region.
