CoSN/ISTE/SETDA/SIIA Washington Education Technology Policy Summit

Make your voice heard in Washington, D.C.
March 3, 2010
Capitol Hill

CoSN, ISTE, SETDA, and SIIA invite you to Washington, D.C. for the 2010 Washington Education Technology Policy Summit.

With federal stimulus dollars coming to an end and the need for new funding resources to continue transforming classrooms becoming apparent, 2010 is shaping up to be a very important year for federal legislation. You can learn all about and help shape the future of federal leadership in education technology at the Washington Education Technology Policy Summit, a one-day conference where you will receive briefings on key policy issues in the morning and go to Capitol Hill in the afternoon to meet with your representatives. The morning session will feature:

  • Presentations from key Congressional and Administration policymakers about the latest education technology policy issues, including updates on appropriations and stimulus funding, broadband and E-Rate, and NCLB Reauthorization
  • Pointers and preparation for Hill meetings
  • Opportunities to network with colleagues from around the country

In the afternoon, you will participate in advocacy visits on Capitol Hill, meeting with Congressional staff from your state to share your experiences about the importance of technology in the classroom. Summit organizers will arrange your meetings and prepare you with appropriate talking points.

The attendance fee for the summit is $25.

To reserve your spot at the Summit, please click on the purple register now button, in the upper right-hand corner of the page, enter your email address, and then indicate if you are attending the entire conference or just the advocacy event, and then follow prompts from there.
