Aneesh Chopra is President Obama’s Chief Technology Officer and Associate Director for Technology in the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy. Prior to his appointment, he served as Secretary of Technology for the Commonwealth of Virginia and previously served as Managing Director with the Advisory Board Company, a publicly-traded healthcare think tank.

In 2008 Chopra was named to Government Technology magazine's Top 25 in their Doers, Dreamers, and Drivers issue.

Keith R. Krueger is CEO of the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN), the premier North American voice of  education technology leaders, especially school district CTO’s, who use technology strategically to improve teaching and learning.  In 2008 he was selected by eSchool News as one of ten people who have had a profound impact on educational technology in the last decade. He serves on many leading advisory boards, and has lead numerous international delegations to improve the understanding of how ICT is being used in education around the world.
   
Dr. William Rankin

Dr. William J. Rankin is an associate professor of English at Abilene Christian University. His education includes BAs in English and French from Harding University, an MA in English literature from the University of California, Riverside and a PhD in medieval literature from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) with an emphasis on medieval pedagogies and educational practice. In the spring of 2007, Dr. Rankin and a team of academics began work on the initiative that became "ACU Connected," ACU's ground-breaking iPhone and iPod touch-based mobile-learning initiative. Working closely with students, faculty, and technologists, he helped attain broad university buy-in for the program, and he continues to work on projects designed to help people envision and implement new learning technologies.
   
Dr. Diane Roussel

Dr. Diane Roussel is the Superintendent of the Jefferson Parish Public School System, the state of Louisiana’s second largest school system and a leader in instructional technology integration, academies of advanced studies, and nationally board certified teaching faculty.  During the past six years, Dr. Roussel has led a strategic conversion of the system through a series of highly successful programs involving a realignment of resources, personnel, and facilities.   In just the last three years, Dr. Roussel has led the transformation of instruction through the use of technology to create 21st century schools and a system to support student learning in a competitive global workplace. Headquartered on Jefferson Parish’s west bank, the system employs more than 6,700 employees staffing 90 instructional sites on the east and west banks of the parish.

Greg Whitby is the Executive Director of Schools and leads a system of approximately 80 Catholic schools serving the Catholic community of greater Western Sydney.  He has 30 years combined experience in K-12 schooling and senior system leadership. In recognizing the critical link between good teaching practice and student learning outcomes, Greg is working to build the capacity of school leaders and teachers through a whole-of-system approach to professional learning.   In 2007, he was named the most innovative educator in Australia by the Bulletin Magazine in its annual SMART 100 awards.  Greg has also been awarded an ACEL Presidential Citation for his contribution to Australian education.
   

Dr. Jerry D. Weast

Dr. Jerry D. Weast is Superintendent of the Montgomery County Public Schools, the largest and most diverse school system in Maryland and the 16th largest district in the nation. Appointed to the position in 1999 and reappointed in 2003 and 2007, Dr. Weast is directing an ambitious comprehensive reform effort designed to raise academic standards and narrow the achievement gap for nearly 140,000 students.

Since 2004, Dr. Weast has led an inclusive team of school system and union leaders, working together with Harvard University researchers and leaders from prominent school systems across the nation in the Public Education Leadership Project, to study school system governance. In May 2008, Dr. Weast was honored by APQC, a nonprofit benchmarking and best practices organization, with the C. Jackson Grayson Distinguished Pioneer Medal in recognition of his innovative leadership in dramatically driving quality and process improvement in K–12 education.
   
Dr. Edgar B. Hatrick

Edgar Hatrick, Ed.D., has a long history with Loudoun County Public Schools. A 1963 graduate of Loudoun County High School, he became a teacher there in 1967. Hatrick was a member of the original Broad Run faculty when it opened in 1969 (teaching English), and then served as an assistant principal. After a series of other administrative posts he was appointed Superintendent of Loudoun County Public Schools in 1991.  He currently is the National  President  of the American Association of School Administrators.
