The National Telecommunications and Information Administration and the U.S. Department of Commerce the State Broadband Data Program is a competitive matching grant program.
The purpose of the grant is to collect comprehensive and accurate state-level broadband mapping data, develop state-level broadband maps, aid in the development and maintenance of a national broadband map, and fund statewide initiatives directed at broadband planning. Applications will be accepted from July 14, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) until August 14, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
