 CoSN-Gartner TCO Tool Intro

The CoSN-Gartner web-based K-12 TCO was released in 2003 as a tool based on Gartner's distributed computing TCO model for school technology leaders to use in better understanding the costs associated with the computing environment. This free web-based tool has been used by over 2,000 K-12 school districts, independent schools and state/regional agencies. The "TCO Overview: Why TCO Matters" and the TCO Backgrounder provide an introduction.

The CoSN-Gartner TCO tool is a free web-based calculator that is available exclusively to public and private K-12 institutions and related government agencies.

Included with the web-based CoSN-Gartner TCO tool are complete documentation with guidance for each of the input data fields, a user indirect labor survey instrument, eight case studies (plus three one-to-one TCO studies), tips and recommendations, frequently asked questions, and a guide on interpreting the results of your TCO assessment.
Please read the Tips and Recommendations page  on this website before getting started.
