Pike Research
brought out good news this week for cloud computing. The energy
efficiency benefits of cloud computing over traditional data center
operations are becoming more well known as many organizations switch over,
and forecasts show that the growing interest in using cloud computing
could lead to a reduction in global energy use for data centers by as
much as 38% by 2020.
Suggestion: Run the
CoSN Energy Use Calculator and see what difference you can make, then sign up for the
CoSN pre-conference workshop on cloud computing to get your plan under way.
