Digital Wish Report on Sustainability
The A. D. Henderson Foundation commissioned Digital Wish to study how schools are sustaining their technology initiatives, and develop free resources that would model best practices.
Author(s): Diane Stark Rentner and Nancy Kober
Published: February 7, 2012
This report, which is based on a fall 2011 survey of state education
agency officials, finds that state spending cuts for K-12 education
seemed to have bottomed out in many states, although some states are
still strapped for funds. The report also examines states’ efforts to
implement the four school reforms they promised to address in their
applications for federal stimulus funds.

APQC Education white paper: What Lies Beneath: Waste
There is an amazing amount of waste - time consuming processes that add no value - in school operations. K-12 institutions try to affect outcomes by focusing on outcomes, rather than the processes that produce outcomes. APQC's Northstar project focuses on Process and Performance Management (PPM) to map processes then re-map to cut waste.
