Today the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) congratulated Dr. Sheryl Abshire, Immediate Past Chair of the CoSN Board, on her appointment to the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) Board of Directors. USAC is an independent, not-for-profit corporation designated as the administrator of the federal Universal Service Fund by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Dr. Abshire is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Calcasieu Parish Public Schools in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and she will be the only current CTO to serve on the USAC Board.
