CoSN’s Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL®) National Study Course is a facilitated online course that prepares practicing or aspiring education technology leaders for the CoSN CETL examination leading up to the credential. Interactive sessions are 60-90 minutes each week and are held over an 11-week period.The course is led by CETL certified and experienced ed tech leaders who have completed a CoSN Facilitators Training Course. CoSN is offering a summer session of the CETL National Study Course. Students will meet twice per week from July 11 to August 15, 2017. To ensure that we offer the best possible environment for facilitated virtual learning, each course section is capped at 20 participants; likewise, each session must have a minimum of ten enrollees. Course Facilitator: Katie Miller
Katie Miller is an educational technology consultant based in Bristol, RI. She is a passionate advocate for empowering school leaders to recognize and embrace the transformational power of technology in learning. At the end of the 2015 calendar year, Katie completed 20 rewarding years of service as the Director of Technology in the Barrington Public Schools in Barrington, RI. In this role she successfully navigated aligning disparate systems and building a robust infrastructure designed to serve rapidly evolving district needs. She served as a founding director and is a recent past-president of RISTE, the Rhode Island (RI) Chapter of the International Society of Technology Educators (ISTE). Katie was awarded the ISTE Making It Happen Award in June 2014, had been actively involved in partnerships with the RI Department of Education (RIDE), and served on the Race to the Top (RTTT) Steering Committee and the RTTT Lead Education Agency (LEA) Design Team.
