Google Analytics (GA) is a free service which measures and reports website and app activity. It is used primarily by website and app operators to help them understand how their service is being utilized. This brief only covers the web-based Universal Analytics product. There are older versions of Google Analytics, a paid version called Google Analytics 360, and a developer kit for Mobile Apps which are beyond the scope of this brief.
