Individual Benefits

  • eNewsletters that provide timely and relevant information on key issues impacting K-12 school networking. Individual members receive the Member Bulletin (which includes information about a wide range of ed tech topics), Washington Update (focused on policy information), and Member Alerts (irregular bulletins about critical, time-sensitive issues in ed tech).

  • Face-to-face networking opportunities with your peers and the corporate sector at the annual K-12 School Networking Conference. Members receive discounts on registration and hotel rates.

  • Representation of your interests in Washington. With the launch of the Ed Tech Action Network, CoSN has provided you with direct access to the policy-makers whose decisions affect your daily work. Your membership supports all our policy and advocacy work on behalf of the education technology community.

  • Leadership development information that enables you to stay current on the key education technology issues you face. CoSN’s various leadership initiatives – Accessible Technologies for All Students; Cyber Security for the Digital District; Taking Total Cost of Ownership to the Classroom; and Data Driven-Decision Making: Vision to Know and Do – provide you with the tools you need to succeed in your district.

  • Electronic access to the CoSN Compendium. The Compendium is a collection of monographs on critical technology leadership topics. The 2006 Compendium will come out spring 2006. Previous year’s Compendia have included monographs on essential skills of the K-12 CTO, total cost of ownership, cyber security, virtual learning, literacy programs, assistive technology, data-driven decision making, wireless technology, accountability and assessment, and copyright among other topics.

  • Participation in two of CoSN’s six annual Webcasts.

  • Access to essential ed tech resources through myCoSN.

  • Opportunities to volunteer with CoSN, shaping our policy and direction.
