Membership Benefits:

  • eNewsletters that provide timely and relevant information on key issues impacting K-12 school networking. Members receive the Member Bulletin (which includes information about a wide range of ed tech topics), Washington Update (focused on policy information), and Member Alerts (irregular bulletins about critical, time-sensitive issues in ed tech).

  • Face-to-face networking opportunities with your peers and the corporate sector at the annual K-12 School Networking Conference. Members receive discounts on registration and hotel rates.

  • High quality professional development opportunities through the CTO Leadership Forums. CoSN sponsors CTO feedback forums at our own conference, the International Society for Technology in Education’s National Educational Computing Conference and the National School Boards Association’s Technology + Leadership + Learning conference every year.

  • Representation of your interests in Washington. With the launch of the Ed Tech Action Network, CoSN has provided you with direct access to the policy-makers whose decisions affect your daily work. Your membership supports all our policy and advocacy work on behalf of the education technology community.

  • Leadership development information that enables you to stay current on the key education technology issues you face. CoSN’s various leadership initiatives – Accessible Technologies for All Students; Cyber Security for the Digital District; Taking Total Cost of Ownership to the Classroom; and Data Driven-Decision Making: Vision to Know and Do – provide you with the tools you need to succeed in your district.

  • A free copy of the 2008 CoSN Compendium. The Compendium is a collection of monographs on critical technology leadership topics. The 2008 Compendium will come out spring 2008. Previous year’s Compendia have included monographs on essential skills of the K-12 CTO, total cost of ownership, cyber security, virtual learning, literacy programs, assistive technology, data-driven decision making, wireless technology, accountability and assessment, and copyright among other topics. Members receive free electronic access to all the previous Compendium monographs, as well as a physical copy of the new edition each year when it comes out.

  • Participation in CoSN’s six annual Webcasts.

  • Access to essential ed tech resources through myCoSN.

  • Opportunities to volunteer with CoSN, shaping our policy and direction. In addition to the possibility of committee and Board service, institutional members are invited to join our Council of School District Chief Technology Officers (CTO), which provides excellent professional development for you and opportunities for networking with other key technology leaders.

Share CoSN information with all your team members! When you join CoSN, you may add up as many additional team members to your membership roster as you wish!*
