Assessment - High-stakes online assessments, most notably the Common Core State Standards, are poised to launch over the next two years. It's a daunting task to get technology up to code, but there are steps schools and districts can take to ensure that their IT is ready to handle new online assessments.

Certification - CoSN’s CETL Exam Preparation and Online Collaborative Learning Site offers materials designed to prepare a practicing or aspiring education technology leader for the CoSN Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL)™  examination leading to the CETL credential. This 11-module online collaborative tool takes an in-depth look at each of the 10 skill areas identified in the Framework of Essential Skills of the K-12 CTO.

Compendiums - An annual series of case studies, interviews with industry experts, and collaborative work by members of the CoSN community. Monographs (or articles) are published numerous times throughout the year and then compiled into an annual Compendium for members only.

CTO Forum Reports - Field reports based on CTO Forums, professional development events hosted by CoSN's CTO Council. The Council develops leadership and policy statements about key education and technology issues at the state and national levels.

Ed Tech Next Reports - Quarterly publications of current topical interest (available to members only). These quick snapshots of content provide busy professionals with up-to-date information.

Essential Leadership Skills - A suite of professional development resources designed to assist school district leaders in strengthening educational technology-supported programs and planning. Resources include backgrounder books (primers on topics, written to be instructive for both school technology leaders and all stakeholders); Train-the-Trainer workshop presentations with notes, and participant workbooks.

Horizon Reports - These annual Horizon Reports and Toolkits (produced in partnership with the New Media Consortium and ISTE) offer ed tech leaders a detailed preview of what will be the biggest ed tech developments over the next five years. For more information on the most current Horizon Report, please click here.

Initiatives - CoSN helps education technology leaders address key challenges in the transition to a digitally enabled learning environment. Support, resources, and tools are provided for school district administrators, educators, and educational organizations to leverage the power of technology to improve student learning. CoSN offers assistance and expertise in three critical areas of educational technology - Leadership and Vision, Instructional Focus, and IT Management. Work in these focus areas helps districts create comprehensive digital transformations.

Webinars - In our professional development webinars, education technology experts from around the country and the world present on their specialties. During each interactive session, experts address the challenges and opportunities facing educators and administrators and give participants the opportunity to ask questions and engage in dialogue.
