This 32-page narrative booklet offers a primer for technology leaders on how to ensure teachers and administrators have the data they need in meaningful formats that can help them to easily assess student progress, analyze data to help individualize instructional approaches and plan interventions, understand progress towards school improvement efforts, and also tie per-pupil expenditures to student achievement and measures of progress. It is written so as to be instructive for not only school technology leaders, but also other stakeholders, e.g. superintendents, school board members, principals, school purchasing officials, curriculum coordinators, media specialists, building-level technology coordinators and technology-savvy teachers.
