CoSN Accepting Nomination for 2013 Withrow CTO and Team Awards

Washington, DC (October 18, 2012) – The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) is now accepting nominations for the association’s 2013 Withrow Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Award and TEAM Award, which annually recognize an individual and a team, respectively, who have demonstrated exceptional technology leadership in K-12 education. Winners will be celebrated at the CoSN 2013 conference on March 10-13, 2013, in San Diego, CA.

“These awards recognize the bold, inspiring efforts of CTOs and school district teams who are putting into action effective and innovative approaches to transform the educational landscape through technology,” said CoSN CEO Keith Krueger. “Leadership is a cornerstone of school transformation and success. Our goal in recognizing the Withrow and the TEAM award winners is to also encourage other educators to advance exemplary K-12 technology leadership to enhance teaching and learning in our school systems.”

The Withrow CTO Award recognizes a K-12 education technology leader who has been a true technology champion. Eligible applicants, who do not have to be CoSN members, include leaders from public school districts and charter, private, parochial, independent schools or school systems. In addition to the Withrow CTO Award and the TEAM Award, CoSN will give the following honors at its conference: Award for Excellence in Public Service; Private Sector Champion; Volunteer of the Year Award; and Volunteer Hall of Fame.
