The course is structured into ten detailed sessions\, each focusing on a crucial aspect of data privacy and security in education. Beginning with exploring the challenges and importance of protecting student data\, the course progresses to understanding legal frameworks and building a culture of data governance. Sessions delve into federal regulations\, the specific exceptions under FERPA\, the procurement process for educational resources\, and the critical intersection of data privacy and cybersecurity. The course concludes with practical guidance on creating effective policy frameworks and developing a tailored awareness program to meet the training needs of various stakeholders.
