SUMMARY:CETL® K-12 CTO's Framework of Essential Skills Foundation Facilitated Online Course Fall 2024
DESCRIPTION:CoSN’s Framework of Essential Skills of the K-12 CTO is comprised of three primary professional categories in the education technology field: Leadership & Vision\, Understanding the Educational Environment\, and Managing Technology & Support Resources.  Each of these categories includes 10 essential skill areas\, outlining the responsibilities and knowledge needed to be a viable educational technology leader. Each of these skills and the related knowledge needed to demonstrate them are included in CoSN’s Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL®) certification exam. \nAll CoSN Professional Learning opportunities are independent of the CETL®  certification program\, which requires a separate application. The CETL®  program is governed by the CETL®  Certification Governance Committee\, an independent certifying body of CoSN. In adherence to best practices for certifying bodies\, CETL®  Certification Governance Committee volunteers and CETL®  Certification staff are not involved in the development of any preparatory program\, and no preparatory program is endorsed by the CETL®  Certification Governance Committee nor is a prerequisite to earn the CETL®.
