SUMMARY:Project Management for K-12 School System Technology Leaders Facilitated Online Course Fall 2024
DESCRIPTION:This course will run this Spring. Register here today and we’ll send you the spring schedule when it is set. \nCoSN is pleased to offer the first-ever project management course that focuses on the unique needs and challenges of school system technology leaders. Using thought leadership resources and best practices\, this course is aligned to CoSN’s Framework of Essential Skills for the K-12 Chief Technology Officer (CTO)\, the foundation for the nationally-accredited Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) program. Its structure and content are also based on the Project Management Institute’s A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) – Sixth Edition – a global industry standard for project management and the most widely recognized project management model for business and government. \nThe pedagogical approach in the design of this course offers learners rich content\, including prerecorded class instruction that may be viewed before online class sessions. This approach provides greater opportunities to learn in a dynamic\, interactive learning environment where project management concepts may be applied to current education projects that are underway or planned soon. As a result\, class learners are actively involved in knowledge construction that is personally meaningful and can be used in their current job.\n\nThis course meets online every *Tuesday from Oct 22nd – Dec 10th\, 2024\, from 2:00- 3:30 PM ET. (There is no meeting on 11/26)\n*Sessions are recorded if you are unable to make an individual session.\n\nCo-instructors Cory Stokes and Frankie Jackson regularly update this course with current information. Read more about Cory here. Read more about Frankie here.\n\n\nParticipants successfully completing the course will receive a Certificate of Completion\, earn 9 CEA Credits toward CETL® recertification\, and have access to the course materials for one full year. \nEarly Bird pricing – Educator: Members $649 Non-Members $849; Corporate: Members: $849 Non-Members $1049\nStandard pricing (1 week before the workshop begins) – Educator: Members $699 Non-Members $899; Corporate: Members $899 Non-Members $1099\nBulk pricing for same organization registration – 1-4 10% discount\, 5-10 15% discount\, 11+ 25% discount\nIf you want to buy several professional development courses or workshops at the same time for use throughout the year\, please contact jbrown@cosn.org for options.
