You’ll leave with a clear vision\, and a head start on creating a prioritized 6–12-month action plan that aligns generative AI with your district’s mission\, values\, and long-term goals. \nWhy Attend \n“AI is revolutionizing how we conduct business in education and will greatly impact teaching\, learning and assessments. It carries possibilities and risks\, and we must plan for it accordingly.” \n– May 2025 Summit participant \nWhat You’ll Experience \n\nLearn how AI can streamline and simplify everyday tasks and workflows.\nGain experience using the CoSN/CGCS K-12 Gen AI Maturity Tool to gauge your district’s current readiness across seven critical domains.\nWork as a district team to build a mission-aligned implementation roadmap rooted in insights from the maturity assessment.\nBring together key decision-makers and stakeholders for shared planning and alignment.\n\nHow does this training relate to the Massachusetts DESE guidance for AI in K-12 Education? \nThe Massachusetts DESE guidance covers a range of important topics related to AI in K-12 education\, including AI literacy development\, academic integrity\, bias awareness and mitigation\, transparency and accountability\, and ensuring instructional quality and equity. \nBuilding on this foundation\, CoSN’s AI District Leaders Action Summit is designed to complement the DESE guidelines. Using the CoSN/CGCS K-12 Gen AI Maturity Tool\, participants gain the knowledge and tools to assess readiness and develop strategic roadmaps across functional domains essential to district-wide AI success and long-term sustainability\, including: \n• Executive Leadership\n• Operations\n• Data\n• Technology\n• Security\n• Legal/Risk\n• Academic AI Literacy \nAttending this summit alongside state initiatives ensures school district leaders are not only aligned with Massachusetts’ vision for AI in education but also prepared with the organizational capacity to turn that vision into reality. \nWhether your district is just beginning its AI journey or already well on its way\, this event will equip your team with the tools and guidance to make meaningful progress towards sustainable and responsible AI adoption aligned with instructional and operational goals. \nCan districts outside Massachusetts attend? \nYes\, absolutely. While this summit takes place in Massachusetts and references state-specific guidance\, it is designed for all K–12 district leadership teams looking to move from AI awareness to strategic adoption. \nWho Should Participate \nThis summit is ideal for district teams poised to lead strategic AI implementation—especially those seeking to build internal alignment and long-term capacity. If you’re leading planning\, technology\, operations\, finance\, Human Resources\, and/or curriculum planning and development\, your participation will multiply impact. \nKey Outcomes \nYour team will leave the summit with: \n\nInitial progress on an AI maturity assessment tailored to your district’s context\, with guidance on how your team can complete the assessment for all seven domains.\nA comprehensive framework for developing a 6–12-month AI integration roadmap.\nClear\, practical next steps to advance AI integration within your district.\nA framework for stakeholder engagement and leadership accountability to ensure sustainable progress.\n\nWhat Past Summit Participants Are Saying \n\n“I learned so much! The top takeaway for me is that AI is a powerful tool to enhance efficiency.”\n“[Our top takeaway was the] importance of having a group to collaborate from our district — the collaboration was something we would not have otherwise been able to prioritize.”\n“The AI tool created to help us plan our roadmap was extremely helpful and will continue to be helpful when working with our larger team.”\n“[Our top takeaway was having] next steps to take back to the district. We have a solid start to a roadmap and how we will successfully incorporate AI for staff and students.”\n“One of the greatest benefits of the CoSN AI workshop was the protected time for our leadership team to collaborate. It created the space for us to ensure that our approach to artificial intelligence is not an add-on\, but a direct accelerator for our existing strategic plan. The guidance and framework provided were instrumental in helping us build a unified vision and a set of actionable goals for the Madison Consolidated Schools.”\n—Dr. Teresa Brown\, Superintendent\n\nPresenters \n\nPete Just\nTom Ryan\nScott Elder\n\nEvent Details\nDates: January 28–30\, 2026 \nVenue\nThe Verve Hotel Boston Natick\n1360 Worcester St\, Natick\, MA 01760\nRoom Rate: $129/night \n\nLink to register for hotel: https://group.tapestrycollection.com/ensjya\nPhone: 508-653-8800; use group code “907“\nHotel registration cut-off date: January 9th\, 2026.
