SUMMARY:Cyber Resilience Blueprint: Building Your District’s Security & Incident Response Plans Workshop Fall 2026
DESCRIPTION:Building and strengthening cybersecurity in a district requires both a solid security plan and an effective incident response plan. This workshop walks attendees through the development of both proactive security plans to support district improvement and maintenance of cybersecurity efforts\, and incident response plans to guide response during a security incident or emergency. \nThis workshop meets online on Wednesdays: December 2nd\, and December 16th\, 2026 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM ET. \nOur subject matter expert and instructor\, Amy McLaughlin\, regularly updates this course with current information. Read more about Amy here(opens in new tab). \nSessions are recorded if you are unable to make an individual session. \nThis content covers areas of the CoSN Framework of Essential Skills of a K-12 CTO(opens in new tab) which guides the study and test for the CETL® Certification. \nYou are eligible for 5 CEA hours for CETL® recertification and district professional learning needs by completing 3 hours of live sessions and 2 hours of independent offline work. If a school emergency arises and you miss a session\, you are expected to watch the recording and notify the instructor.
