DESCRIPTION:Want to apply for the Trusted Learning Environment Seal but don’t want to go it alone? Join your peers and collaborate to improve your practices and complete your application. Each month\, we’ll review a TLE practice area\, leverage the ideas and learnings of colleagues\, and develop action steps to make progress on your TLE application. Take advantage of the ability to learn directly from TLE Seal recipient guest speakers\, get access to data governance policy examples\, and hear tips from those who have successfully gone through the process. If you’re committed to going through the TLE application process but your state doesn’t already have a TLE cohort\, this is the place for you. \nParticipants will: \n\nMake monthly progress on their TLE applications\nLearn directly from TLE Seal recipients\nCreate a roadmap for completing their TLE application\n\nThere is no cost to participate in the TLE Workshop\, however\, as part of the pre-work to sign up\, participants must have purchased their TLE Seal application and be committed to submitting it within 2 years of completing the Workshop. \nTLE Seal Application costs:\n$100 small district CoSN members/$200 small district non-members\n$200 large district CoSN members/$400 large district non-members. \nEach district may enroll 2 participants per Workshop\, and a total of 10 districts will be permitted for each session that the Workshop is offered.

DESCRIPTION:One of the key functions of education is building skills\, not only for academic success\, but also for understanding mental\, social\, and emotional wellbeing. Critical capabilities that include empathy\, grit\, persistence\, flexibility\, and adaptability shape mindsets that enhance successful learning\, collaboration\, and problem-solving. Though these aspects of learning have always been important\, the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic heightened the need to address the social and emotional aspects of learning\, not only for students and their families but also for teachers\, school leaders\, and administrators. The use of technology to meet these social and emotional essentials has also been heightened over the past months. Today educators are challenged to think about how technology can enhance and/or diminish the social-emotional needs they must address. \nIn this edWebinar\, three innovative\, compassionate superintendents share how they address the social and emotional needs of the students\, staff\, and families in their school districts.
