Spring 2017 National CETL Study Course

CoSN’s Certified Education Technology Leader® (CETL) National Study Course is a facilitated virtual group that will meet weekly over a three month period beginning in the third week of September. This online collaborative course takes an in-depth look at each of the areas identified in the CoSN Framework of Essential Skills for the K-12 CTO. The course is led by experienced Ed Tech Leaders who have completed a CoSN Facilitators Training Course on using materials developed exclusively for this course. For a course syllabus and more information on our instructors, please click here.

Sessions are 60-90 minutes each week over an 11 week period. Students are expected to spend an additional 2-3 hours reading provided materials in advance of each session. It is this active discussion and exchange of real world experience from prepared and experienced Ed tech leaders that make this an exceptional learning opportunity. This course is taught by a CoSN certified faculty of distinction using CoSN’s Online Collaborative Learning Site with materials designed to prepare a practicing or aspiring education technology leader for the CoSN CETL examination leading to the CETL credential.

To ensure that we offer the best possible environment for facilitated virtual learning, each course section is capped at 20 participants; likewise, each session must have a minimum of ten enrollments. If your section does not meet the minimum enrollment, we will notify you with options to participate in other cohorts. Your facilitators will make every effort to encourage interactive discussion of the materials using real world scenarios.

Please choose the course section that works best for you, then select the purple ”Register” button next to it to sign-up for the course. If you have any questions about this offering, please contact our certification department for more information.
