The Cybersecurity Readiness Thought Leadership Committee provides strategic leadership for CoSN’s Cybersecurity Readiness for Education (CCRE) initiative by guiding the continued advancement of the Cybersecurity Readiness Framework, Rubric, and related resources; building national capacity by equipping practitioners with practical guidance, implementation resources, and effective practices; promoting measurable organizational improvement; and advancing cybersecurity readiness across the K–12 education ecosystem.

Through collaboration, the committee guides the continued refinement of the Cybersecurity Readiness Framework, Rubric, and related resources to ensure they remain practical, relevant, and aligned with the evolving needs of K–12 school systems while supporting sustainable cybersecurity capability and organizational resilience.

CoSN’s Cybersecurity Thought Leadership Committee(opens in new tab) and Cybersecurity Readiness Thought Leadership Committee(opens in new tab) work in close partnership to strengthen cybersecurity across K–12 education. The Cybersecurity Thought Leadership Committee provides practitioner expertise, identifies emerging trends and challenges, and helps shape CoSN’s broader cybersecurity resources and guidance for school system leaders. The Cybersecurity Readiness Thought Leadership Committee provides strategic leadership for the Cybersecurity Readiness for Education (CCRE) initiative, guiding the continued evolution of the CCRE Framework, Rubric, implementation resources, and related programs. Together, the two committees ensure that CoSN’s cybersecurity efforts are informed by both real-world practitioner experience and long-term strategic vision, advancing practical, sustainable cybersecurity readiness for school systems.
