In an era defined by rapid change and digital transformation, strong leadership in K-12 educational technology is more important than ever. CoSN is dedicated to empowering EdTech leaders with the knowledge and resources needed to drive meaningful change in K-12 education through emerging technology, and the Driving K-12 Innovation Advisory Board is evidence of that.

The Driving K-12 Innovation initiative’s global Advisory Board of K-12 leaders, practitioners, and changemakers engage in discourse throughout the year to uncover the major themes accelerating, hindering, and enabling teaching and learning innovation at schools across the world.

We’re proud to share the growing impact of the initiative’s 2024-25 project cycle and the remarkable international community that has come together to make it possible.

A Global Community of Leaders

At the heart of the initiative is a diverse and engaged advisory board of 132 K-12 EdTech leaders from 13 countries, each bringing a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities shaping K–12 education today. From district superintendents and tech directors to nonprofit innovators, our Advisory Board members represent a wide cross-section of global voices dedicated to reimagining what education looks like in a digitally connected world.

Broad Support from Leading Organizations

The project has received meaningful support from 23 supporting organizations working at the intersection of education and technology. These partners have amplified our reach and ensured that the insights we share are grounded in practice and accessible to leaders at every level. In addition, four dedicated sponsors have played a key role in enabling this work to thrive—special thanks to ClassDojo, CDW Education, Palo Alto Networks, and T-Mobile for Education for their support.

The flagship output of this initiative, the 2025 Driving K-12 Innovation Report, has been downloaded more than 265 times in the first 2.5 months since its release. Available in three languages—English, Korean, and Chinese—the report has become a go-to resource for education leaders across the globe seeking to build capacity and drive meaningful change in their schools and systems.

And because the project strongly believes in lifting the voices of our Advisory Board and sharing their perspectives and expertise, we’re especially proud that 62 advisory board members are directly quoted throughout the report, ensuring that the findings are informed by real-world leadership experience. Their contributions bring depth, authenticity, and global relevance to the report’s key takeaways.

Ongoing Conversations and Continued Engagement

To foster continued dialogue, we’ve published more than seven thought-provoking blog posts, exploring leadership practices and actionable strategies for schools navigating the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Looking Ahead

The momentum behind this initiative is a testament to what’s possible when we collaborate across borders, roles, and disciplines. As we look to the future, we’re committed to bringing new voices into the conversation, identifying emerging challenges, and supporting school leaders with tools and ideas that empower change.
