1.  How long have you been a member of CoSN?

I joined CoSN one year ago and have enjoyed being part of the community."

2. Why did you join CoSN? What do you enjoy about being a member?

"I joined CoSN to better understand the perspective of CTOs in K–12 technology. As a former teacher now working in technical integration, I enjoy learning from leaders in the field and connecting with others who are shaping the future of education technology."

3.  How did you get into the field of educational technology?

"I started my career as a middle school teacher, where I created STEM programs and led a robotics club. Watching students light up as they solved problems and discovered new skills showed me how powerful technology could be in learning. That experience inspired me to step into educational technology so I could support teachers in creating those moments too."

4.  What does your daily work entail?

"My work varies each day but is always rewarding. Some days I host student field trips in our interactive learning lab, other days I travel across Missouri to lead professional development for districts, and in between I collaborate with my team to design new classes and explore emerging technologies."

5. What emerging trends or technologies in education are you most excited about, and why?

"I am excited about the possibilities of AI and recently became fascinated by quantum computing after attending QCaMP in Albuquerque. Both areas feel like the next wave of innovation with the potential to transform how students learn and problem solve."

6. What is something you are excited to be working on right now?

"Right now, my team and I are developing new professional development classes focused on AI literacy, chatbots, and assignment integration frameworks. I am excited to help teachers navigate these tools and feel confident using them in their classrooms."

7.  What is your favorite book?

"I recently finished Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green. His storytelling blends science and history in a way that is both engaging and thought-provoking. I enjoyed how he connected such a complex topic to everyday life."

8.  What hobby(s) do you enjoy doing outside of work?

"I enjoy gardening and baking with my husband and toddler. When I find quiet time, I usually have a book in hand or I am practicing one of my art hobbies."
