Miami, FL (April 11, 2024) – CoSN, a premier association of K-12 education technology leaders, honored the Council of the Great City Schools (CGCS) with its 2024 Partnerships that Matter Award. The award recognizes the Council’s collaborative efforts on the CoSN/CGCS K-12 Gen AI Maturity Tool, a groundbreaking resource designed to help district leaders think through Gen AI strategy and policies, as well as their important partnership for many years on key topics such as advancing cybersecurity under the E-rate program.
The CoSN Partnerships that Matter Award honors partner organizations who work with CoSN to make a difference in transforming learning with technology.
“The Council is honored to be this year’s recipient of the Partnerships that Matter Award,” said Ray Hart, Executive Director, CGCS. “We’ve worked with CoSN to request more E-rate funds for cybersecurity protection and jointly launched the K-12 Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) Readiness Checklist to help urban school districts safely implement Gen AI solutions. The Council strongly believes that our partnership with CoSN has been extremely beneficial to urban school leaders by equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to adapt to new technology and improve the learning environments of the students they serve.”
